Guarana is one of nature's strongest stimulants! With an average of 4.7% caffeine, guarana seeds are 2-3 times stronger than coffee beans!
We all know the effects of caffeine: it keeps you awake and alert, and gives you energy and a sense of well-being. Due to the high fiber content and the tannins that the caffeine in guarana binds to, this effect is constant and long-lasting. In effect,you don't get an energy peak or crash like you get with coffee, energy drinks or other artificial caffeine sources.
Finally, guarana is rich in antioxidants - protectors of the body's cells. Just like cocoa and green tea, guarana also contains theophylline (beneficial for lung and heart function) and theobromine – a kind of caffeine light.
Magnesium is involved in over 300 processes in our body. For example, this mineral is needed in our energy metabolism (converting nutrients into energy), and contributes to a healthy electrolyte balance, muscle function and protein synthesis. Magnesium also helps deal with stress and tension and reduces fatigue and exhaustion.
It is therefore not surprising that our body uses a lot of magnesium. Especially with an active lifestyle, busy work days and during exercise, your magnesium requirements increase drastically. That’s exactly what this Energy Raw Bar was developed for – and why we added extra magnesium: 75 mg elemental magnesium from 475 mg seawater extract.

In addition, dates are rich in fiber and the minerals potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iron. They even contain some protein and healthy fats. Dates are therefore a much more complete sweetener than natural alternatives such as honey and maple syrup.

Oats are an essential ingredient for power nutrition. They are full of complex ("slow") carbohydrates and contain 14% protein and 11% fiber. In effect, they are digested slowly, keeping you satiated and releasing energy over a long period of time.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Cordyceps has been used safely for thousands of years. In the West, the maximum dose for Cordyceps has never been established, but it has been used safely by healthy* adults in daily doses of 3–6 grams for 1 year.
Our Guaraná contains an average of 3.9% caffeine, varying from harvest to harvest. This means that there is an average of 39 mg of caffeine in one bar – comparable to 1 cup of black tea. For healthy* adults, doses of up to 400 mg caffeine per day have been tested as safe. Please note that caffeine sensitivity is highly individual. We recommend not eating the Energy Raw Bars too late in order to avoid disturbing your sleep.
*Cordyceps stimulates blood circulation and can strengthen the immune system. For most people this is desirable, but before operations and in autoimmune diseases Cordyceps can worsen the symptoms. Do not use in combination with immunosuppressants and anticoagulants.
Store the bars in a cool, dry and dark place (e.g. in a cold cupboard or drawer), than there is little that can go bad.
The product has a best before date, 1 year after production date. This is for our quality control. After this date, use your nose and eyes to determine if the bar is still edible.

Cordyceps
This powerful mushroom has been used for centuries for energy, stamina and recovery. In the past decades, science has caught up and explained how it works.
In studies with cyclists, Cordyceps increased tolerance to high-intensity exercise and improved oxygen uptake. And more oxygen keeps you sharp and energized for longer—perfect for long days, when you need to meet a deadline, or train after work.
Strenuous endurance effort? In research with runners, we see that Cordyceps helps maintain iron levels and muscle strength. The result? Faster recovery and less muscle breakdown.
We also see positive effects on the immune system. Several studies show that Cordyceps can increase the activity of immune cells and reduce inflammation. These are important factors against stress and disease.

The Science behind
Guarana
Indigenous Amazonian peoples have been brewing an energizing tea from guarana for centuries. Now science confirms how this effect comes about.
In research we see that guarana can speed up reaction time without affecting accuracy. This allowed participants to think faster, switch between tasks and stay focused.
In other research, we see improvements in memory and concentration. Not only were participants more alert, but they also processed information better. Perfect for when you still have to think strategically after a long meeting.
And if you have a workout planned after that? In a study with athletes, they felt less fatigue during their efforts. This allowed them to perform better and for longer.
